Busy is not the same as profitable.
Money is coming in. Money is going out.
But do you know what's happening in between?
If you can't answer that without digging through spreadsheets, you don't have the clarity you need.
No pitch, no obligation.
A straight read on where you stand.
Clarity in your books. Confidence in your business.
Most owners I talk to aren't bad with money. They're running a growing business with tools that stopped keeping up a while ago.
None of that means your bookkeeping is broken. Usually it means the structure underneath it is, and nobody has looked.
For years I was a radiologist. My job was to look at an image and find what a patient couldn't put into words, then keep looking until I found the actual cause instead of the obvious one.
I do the same thing with financial statements now. Most businesses don't have a bookkeeping problem. They have a structure problem wearing a bookkeeping costume, and it takes someone trained to look past the obvious to find it.
Clean books are the starting point. Not the goal.
Five letters. One standard.
You can answer questions about your business without opening QuickBooks first.
Your books show what the business is actually doing, not just what it spent.
Findings come with a recommendation and a next step. Nothing gets left as “we'll figure that out later.”
Decisions get easier, and the difference shows up in the numbers.
You stop looking only backward. You can see where this is heading and adjust while it still matters.
From the first conversation to numbers you actually trust.
There's no mystery to how this works. Every CHART engagement moves through the same four phases, and you'll always know which one you're in.

You're past the DIY stage. Revenue is coming in, the operation is growing, and the bookkeeping is technically getting done. It just isn't giving you anything you can use.
You don't need someone to enter transactions. You need someone to look at the whole picture and tell you what it means.
That's most often service businesses: wellness and creative practices, consultants, and agencies. Irregular income, client packages, project billing, seasonal swings. I know these patterns, so you get a sharp read instead of generic advice.
Capacity and fit
I work with a small number of clients at a time.
That's deliberate. Finding what's actually wrong in a set of books means knowing the business behind them, and that isn't possible across a long roster. The clients I take on get my attention, not a queue position.
It also sets expectations honestly. CHART is not the cheapest option and this is not traditional bookkeeping. If you're comparing hourly rates, we're probably not the right fit, and I'd rather say that now than three months in.
Who this isn't for
Brand-new businesses with a handful of transactions a month. Anyone who needs tax filing or payroll processing. Anyone looking for someone to move money on their behalf. If that's what you need, I'll point you toward someone who does it well.
Your tax professional. Your attorney. Your banker. Your insurance agent. Your financial advisor. Your business coach. Every one of them is asking you for the same thing: numbers they can rely on.
They're all working from one source, your books. When that source is right, everyone around you does better work, and you stop being the one chasing information between them.
That's the job. I keep the financial foundation accurate and current so the rest of your team can do what they're actually there for.
CHART is not a CPA firm. I don't file taxes, run payroll, or handle your money.

No, and CHART is not a CPA firm. I'm a strategic bookkeeping consultant. I don't file taxes, issue audited financials, or provide attest services. What I do is make sure the numbers underneath all of that are accurate, current, and usable.
No. I'll review how payroll and tax transactions flow through your books, because that affects whether your numbers are right. The filing and the processing stay with your tax professional and your payroll provider.
Never. I don't touch your money and I don't log into your accounts to move it. I work inside your books while you keep full control.
No. I make their job easier and usually cheaper, because they stop starting from a mess. Most of my clients keep the tax professional they already have.
Established service businesses past the DIY stage: wellness and creative practices, consultants, and agencies. Owners who have revenue coming in and want a partner who can tell them what the numbers mean.
Bring your questions, your messy QuickBooks file, or just the nagging sense that something's off. I'll tell you plainly what I see.
